First introduced for the 1972 Olympic games in Munich the "Super Light" or SL72 was released for athletes looking for a lightweight feel with additional grips on the soles. The shoes was made with experimental materials such as a combination of nylon and leather, but were soon to be worn by celebrities as a casual everyday sports trainers.

The trainers were marked with an imprint on the suede on the toe. I was going to complain and send them back but I couldn't be bothered with the hassle so just wore them. Not great though.
