Adidas D.O.N. Issue 2 "Signal Orange" Basketball Shoes FV8958

Adidas D.O.N. Issue 2 "Signal Orange" Basketball Shoes

Explosive Drive & Court Geometry: The adidas D.O.N. Issue #2 "Signal Orange / Solid Gold / Signal Pink" Channel Donovan Mitchell's sharp court vision, explosive rim assaults, and fearless playmaking with a low-to-mid silhouette engineered for high-usage offensive engines. The FV8958 translates Mitchell's "Determination Over Negativity" ethos into a hyper-stable platform built to handle heavy lateral forces and sudden decelerations. Saturated in an electric "Signal Orange" and "Solid Gold" color block energized by vivid "Signal Pink" interior detailing, this shoe commands visual attention across indoor courts while providing pro-level stability for shifty guards.

Benefits: Engineered for explosive slashers, combo guards, and perimeter playmakers, this shoe features a full-length, flexible Bounce foam midsole that absorbs heavy downward landing forces while maintaining crisp court feel and springy responsiveness. The engineered cord lacing system pulls directly from the chassis to anchor the upper securely against the instep, eliminating interior foot slide during hard cuts. A wide-base rubber outsole with a pronounced lateral outrigger delivers dependable anti-roll stability, giving you the balance and grip needed to break down defenders at will.

Key Features:

• Full-Length Flexible Bounce Midsole: Resilient cushioning compound formulated to deliver plush impact attenuation paired with responsive energy return on toe-off.

• Engineered Cord Lockdown Lacing: Heavy-duty cord eyelet system integrated into the upper to distribute tension evenly and lock the midfoot over the footbed.

• Multi-Layer Breathable Mesh Upper: Lightweight, open-weave textile construction designed to dump internal heat while offering structured containment under lateral torque.

• Extended Lateral Outrigger: Wide-flared forefoot sole geometry engineered to prevent ankle roll on sharp crossovers and defensive slides.

• Multi-Directional Web Tread Outsole: Hardwood-tuned rubber compound patterned to deliver instant stopping power and multidirectional grip.

• Ergonomic Heel Pillows & Collar: Sculpted Achilles padding designed to cup the calcaneus, prevent heel slippage, and cushion the rearfoot on hard plants.

Buyer Guidance & Fit Profile:

• Who This Product Is Best Suited For: Ideal for combo guards, attacking wing players, and perimeter defenders who require a secure, wide-platform shoe for aggressive directional shifts, step-backs, and driving through contact. Coordinates seamlessly with performance basketball shorts, compression tights, padded crew socks, and technical warm-up tops. Not intended for outdoor blacktop courts where rough asphalt will rapidly wear down the indoor-tuned rubber grooves, nor for athletes looking for an ultra-minimalist, barefoot-style shoe.

• Fit & Sizing Determination: Fits True to Size (TTS) in length with an intentionally Snug, Glove-Like Fit. The interior heel padding and cord lacing provide tight lockdown from day one. Players with wider forefeet, high insteps, or those wearing bulky padded ankle braces should consider going half a size up to prevent lateral midfoot pinch.

• Recommended Conditions & Activities: Optimised for indoor hardwood basketball courts, competitive team play, guard drills, and high-intensity basketball training. Care Recommendation: Spot clean the mesh upper and foam sidewalls using a damp microfiber cloth with mild shoe cleaner; brush out accumulated court dust from the outsole grooves with a soft-bristle nylon brush to maintain optimal surface bite; remove insoles to air dry at room temperature away from direct radiators or heat sources; do not machine wash or soak.
